Leading fintech provider, Ixaris Group, was founded in 2000 by Alex Misfud. Initially offering virtual prepaid Visa cards through its EntroPay services, it developed a suite of corporate prepaid and other payment applications, to serve the financial services, travel, travel assistance, and other industries in the United Kingdom and internationally.
What were the issues?
Ixaris Group had experienced unprecedented challenges brought about by recent changes in payments regulation, payment economics, business models and the competitive landscape, as well as Brexit. As the business became increasingly global in its scope of operations, and as its payments volumes continued to double year on year, the pressure of work on the legal and compliance function was significant. Clive Bramley was Counsel at Ixaris Group for five years before joining Clayden Law in 2018.
What did we do?
Former CEO, Alex, explains Clive’s contribution to Ixaris Group’s growth: “Clive was instrumental in helping the Ixaris Group navigate the changes presented, while also providing day-to-day, essential contract drafting for increasingly large and complex deals.
“I have worked with many lawyers but only a few who have been as constructive and easy to work as Clive. He has a refreshing balance of willingness to see alternative perspectives coupled with an independence of thinking.”
